Maroubra Breeze – Maroubra
This two-bedroom oceanfront abode in the heart of Maroubra comes with style to spare, its two bedrooms (with space for up to six guests) and living spaces newly renovated with flourishes that fit perfectly with the apartment’s beachside setting – with funky 1960s vibes. Look forward to luxurious linens and amenities, plenty of sunlight, a fully kitted kitchen and endless views of the sparkling sea.
Location
If you’re a surfer, you’ve checked in to the right place – Maroubra Beach is one of the best places to jump on a board in Sydney. Often you’ll share the waves with dolphins. But Maroubra is also an ideal destination for swimming, with a protected ocean pool and calmer stretches where you can wade out and explore rock pools. From your base, you can also enjoy a spectacular coastal walk that stretches all the way to Bondi Beach.
Eat & drink
After a morning on the beach, wake up with a great coffee at local haunts like Chalk Espresso Bar, The North End Café, Café Positano or Little Me Café. When it comes to something more substantial, Bar Milano takes you to the streets of Italy, while overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
You’re also within easy reach of numerous restaurants and bars along main Anzac Parade, where you’ll find a shopping hub with supermarkets and seafood vendors.
Seascape – Cronulla
Just steps from the pristine shores of Cronulla Beach, this luxurious two-bedroom apartment radiates coastal allure. Decorated with tasteful earthy hues and refreshing cool tones, it invites up to six guests to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Every aspect has been carefully considered, ensuring a seamless fusion of comfort and elegance. Immerse yourself in the refined tranquillity of this thoughtfully designed sanctuary, crafted for an unforgettable coastal escape.
Location
From great surf to epic bushwalks, Cronulla is all about the outdoors. The southern suburb is located around 30km from the heart of Sydney’s CBD, set on a peninsula surrounded by water and with multiple beaches to choose from. Think of it as a mini city, with everything you need – indeed, you won’t want to leave.
From here, ferries transfer you over to Bundeena, the gateway to the Royal National Park, which is the oldest of its kind in Australia. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and whales during migration (May through November).
Eat & Drink
Dining room with a view? You’ve come to the right place. Many of Cronulla’s most popular restaurants, cafes and bars are located on the water, including Summer Salt, Sealevel, Next Door and The Pines – the latter is particularly popular for special occasions. Slightly further afield, drop in to El Rey for tacos and margheritas; Johnny Hu for mod-Cantonese fare; Alphabet Street for pan-Asian cuisine; or Yalla Sawa, for home-cooked Lebanese favourites in a dining room that’s always busy.
Mosman is one of the most sought-after suburbs in Sydney. And The Courtyard Retreat fits right in, the two-bedroom garden apartment with space to sleep six boasting a spacious terrace, open-plan design and slick modern furnishings. You’ll want to spend much of your time lounging outdoors. But when you’re inside, make the most of the new kitchen, just made for entertaining. As an added bonus, there are two bathrooms, so you don’t have to share.
Location
This abode is perfectly positioned to take the pulse of this Northern Beaches suburb. Indeed, you’re just a short walk from dreamy Balmoral Beach, not to mention Mosman Village, where boutiques, cafes and restaurants await. Lace up your walking shoes, because the trails of Sydney Harbour National Park are on your doorstep. As is Taronga Zoo, where wildlife conservation projects take place with a spectacular view of Sydney Harbour.
Eat & Drink
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to wining and dining in Mosman, which enjoys a thriving foodie scene. If you’re spending a day at Balmoral Beah, it’s hard to go past Bather’s Pavilion, with its multiple dining rooms offering everything from grab-and-go bites at the kiosk to formal meals and mod-Thai cuisine. Elsewhere, L’Heritage serves upscale French fare; Fourth Village Providore is part deli, part café and part florist; and the Fernery unites flavours of South America and Europe across multiple Spaces, with views of Sydney Harbour. Ormeggio at the Spit is a long-time favourite for classic Italian with dazzling vistas.
Harbourview – Kirribilli
Vistas don’t get any more epic than those you’ll enjoy at Harbourview – glance out your windows and you’ll be dazzled by the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, just across a swathe of water where ferries and yachts come and go.
If you can tear yourself away from the view you’ll be equally impressed by the two-bedroom apartment’s interior design, replete with bespoke lighting and furniture, and niceties like a well-stocked kitchen, lush bathroom amenities and carefully curated artwork.
Location
You’re smack bang on the edge of Sydney Harbour on the North Shore. And while you can gaze at the city from your abode, you’re only a short commute away – Kirribilli Wharf is steps away, and regular ferries will whisk you into Circular Quay, or further afield. Or you might opt to walk over the Harbour Bridge to make your way into town. Your apartment is also within easy reach of high-octane attractions like Luna Park, and in all directions there are water-hugging walking tracks that you can stroll along to explore this pretty pocket of Sydney.
Eat & Drink
Dining room with a view? You’ve come to the right place. Kirribilli doesn’t disappoint when it comes to fine food in equally fine places. Make your first point of call The Botanist, which goes all out on the floral theme in design – think ample pot plants and wallpaper bedazzled with blooms and creepers. The food as just as beautifully presented.
Bacari, meanwhile, is a buzzing Italian wine bar; Bayly’s Bistro beckons with a stylish and relaxed night out; and Foys occupies the oldest open-boat sailing club, the Sydney Flying Squadron. It’s a stunning place to dine, with open-air seating and exceptional waterfront views.
