The next edition of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants ranking, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will be unveiled on 5 June 2024 in Las Vegas as part of a programme of events set to transform the self-styled entertainment capital of the world into the epicentre of the culinary universe. Here’s everything you can look forward to
The next stop in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ global tour has been revealed and it’s none other than the United States’ iconic city of Las Vegas. The world’s leading chefs, gastronomic media and renowned culinary VIPs will be packing their bags with sequins and suits come next June, when the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 will be revealed at an awards ceremony on 5 June at Wynn Las Vegas, accompanied by more glittering food events in the days immediately before and after.
Having first embarked on its round-the-world trip in 2016, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants events programme is set to continue to shine a spotlight on exciting and upcoming culinary destinations through its partnerships with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Wynn Las Vegas for 2024.
Already a sought-after destination for thrilling music and theatrical performances, legendary nightlife, dynamic sports and world-class dining, Las Vegas is no stranger to putting on some of the greatest shows on earth – a perfect partner to bring 50 Best’s ever-expanding events programme to life in 2024.
As the official host destination, the neon-lit city of Las Vegas will also host a series of memorable occasions to rival the most awarded culinary capitals of the world during the 50 Best week in early June.
Global gastronomic talent will descend on the city for a new edition of the 50 Best Signature Sessions, collaborative events open to the public that see 50 Best chefs cooking alongside renowned local talent, offering exclusive dining opportunities to local and travelling foodies. Venue partners will include acclaimed Vegas properties such as Resorts World and The Venetian.
New editions of the 50 Best Signature Sessions and #50BestTalks events will take place in Las Vegas in June 2024
The thought-leadership event #50BestTalks is also set to return, giving media a unique chance to explore some of the hottest topics affecting the hospitality world in conversation with the world’s leading culinary thinkers. The traditional Chefs’ Feast will showcase the finest cooking and exhilarating entertainment Las Vegas has become synonymous with, while an official Closing Party will wrap official proceedings up in style. Meanwhile, an educational event will give local students an exclusive opportunity to learn from international food-world icons.
The list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will once again be the result of the votes of more than 1,000 anonymous global culinary experts, who will each select their 10 favourite gastronomic experiences of the previous 18 months. With the voting and results independently adjudicated by Deloitte, the ranking has come to represent the most prestigious accolade for the world’s leading hospitality venues.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants events programme has previously travelled as far as Melbourne, Australia; Flanders, Belgium, and Singapore, among other destinations. The 2024 awards ceremony will mark the second time the events are hosted in the US, following the first stop of its global tour in 2016, when it was held in New York.
The world’s leading chefs will be reunited at the awards ceremony on 5 June 2024
In 2023, the glamorous occasion was hosted in the stunning City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, on 20 June, when a South American restaurant – Central in Lima – became the No.1 in the world for the first time.
Central will not be eligible for voting in 2024 as it will be elevated into a separate category – Best of the Best – that honours those venues that have received the ultimate accolade and are therefore inducted into a ‘hall of fame’, where they continue to be celebrated while also giving back to the industry in novel ways.
Save the date – 5 June 2024 – in your diary to make sure you don’t miss the reveal of the best dining destinations across the world and start exploring Las Vegas’ food and drink scene on 50 Best Discovery.
The list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will be announced on Wednesday 5 June from Las Vegas. To stay up to date with the latest news, follow us on Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube, and sign up to our newsletter.
